Accountant – Job Summary:

We’re supporting our client, a leading machine manufacturer based in Telford, who are looking for a Accountant to join their growing team. The successful Accountant will have knowledge of UK accounting standards / regulations and IFRS.

Responsibilities for Accountant:

• Prepare financial statements
• Prepare monthly group reports & balance sheets
• VAT preparation & submission
• Responsible for managing and following up on accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Accounting processing of bank movements and invoices
• Preparing payments
• Working with & reporting to the MD
• Payroll preparation

About You:

• Qualifications in an accounting/economic field (CCAB) or equivalent through experience
• Accounting experience: you possess analytical thinking skills
• Working knowledge of UK accounting standards / regulations and IFRS
• Continuously think about the optimization of accounting processes
• Work fluently with MS Office
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus
• Communicatively strong and sociable
• Work in a team as well as independently, take initiative
• Ability to work to deadlines with a high level of accuracy
