Apollo Home Healthcare are seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to join our team in Ashton under Lyne to support a gentleman with his complex care needs.
We are looking for compassionate Healthcare Assistants who are passionate about delivering the highest quality 1:1 care for our service user, who can build positive relationships with them and those around them.
Meet our service user
Our service user is a cheerful, content, gentleman in his 30’s who resides in a nursing home based in Ashton-Under-Lyne and requires support on a 1:1 basis throughout the day and night with his complex care needs.
He loves to spend time with his family, and interacting with his care team and enjoys having a banter. He enjoys watching his favourite T.V programmes along with animated DVDS, and throughout the day he loves to access the community, going shopping and simply being out and about.
He is a very charismatic individual, and we are looking for candidates who can bring this out in him.
Throughout the day you will provide support with his personal care, Moving and handling, attending to his clinical care needs when required and assist him to enjoy his hobbies and interests.
Throughout the night you will provide support with his personal care, repositioning, making close observations and attending to his clinical care needs when required. You will provide a peaceful environment to promote a restful nights sleep.
Our service user is none verbal and expresses his needs and wants through a variety of sounds. His care team will need to show understanding and patience to understand his methods of communication.
It is essential for our candidates to have experience working with epilepsy for this position
Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.
