Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join a financial services company in the heart of Liverpool on a permanent basis.
As Accounts Assistant you'll play a vital role in supporting the Finance Manager in providing essential & effective financial information to the rest of the business, as well as exceptional service to the customer base.
You'll be someone naturally great with Accounts because the role includes taking ownership of the ledgers, reconciliation and other duties - so if you have experience within and all-round accounts role this could be the role for you!
This is a newly created role so you can really make it your own! So, if you are looking for a well-rounded role for a long standing, family friendly business this is the role for you!
About the role
Based in Liverpool with some flexible/hybrid working you will be responsible for:
Daily bank reconciliations including updating excel cashbooks for multiple bank accounts and posting the transactions to Sage.
Managing all aspects of the purchase and sales ledger.
Assisting with monthly financial reporting and other additional detailed summaries
About you
The ideal candidate for this position must have:
Experience within a similar accounts based role
AAT qualified (however qualified by experience candidates will also be considered
Great communicator
Strong attention to detail
Experience which is not essential but desirable includes:
Excellent IT skills including a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and strong Excel skills.
Experience using Sage or similar accounting package.
Experience working within Financial Services

What's on offer
Salary: Up to Circa £28,000 depending on experience

Hours: 35 hours per week
