What you’ll be doing:

As a Senior Deployment Engineer at Ripjar, you will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality software to our customers. You will rely on your technical skills, troubleshooting experience, knowledge of our technology, and your deep understanding of our customer configurations to become the subject matter expert for specific customers at Ripjar.

Expertise with tools like Ansible, or other configuration management tools is desired, as is experience with a broad array of technologies, including MongoDB, Elasticsearch and Kafka. Ideally, you will be comfortable with Python, NodeJS, Bash and other scripting languages in a Linux environment, as well as experience using cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.

You will be responsible for successfully deploying and integrating our world-class technologies for our customers. You will work closely with internal teams to implement our solutions and solve our customers biggest challenges, representing Ripjar in complex environments where your creativity, problem-solving, and communication skills will enable their success.

When you are not working directly with our customers you will assist our operations and DevOps teams in building capabilities to support our SaaS and on-premise customers

As a Senior Deployment Engineer you will:

• Support the deployment, configuration, and integration of Ripjar’s Labyrinth Screening Platform for specific customers through direct engagement, remotely and on customer premises.
• Assist with the packaging and releasing of Ripjar’s Labyrinth Screening Platform for SaaS and Enterprise customers.
• Become an expert in our technology and be able to apply this knowledge and understanding in support of our customers.
• Administer systems in development, reference, and operational environments.
• Develop solutions for customer-specific integrations and operational tasks.
• Provide deep support to our customers for technical issues relating to the deployment, configuration, and integration of our Labyrinth Screening platform.

The ideal successful candidate would have the following skills:

• Experience using and contributing to CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Experience of working with, managing, and administering Linux systems.
• Experience of Linux/UNIX shell scripting.
• Experience working with and administering NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Elasticsearch.
• Experience working with messaging systems such as Apache Kafka.
• Experience working on complex distributed systems, deployed both as on-premise and SaaS solutions.
• Excellent communication and time management skills to work with a large team of developers, multiple customers, and project management professionals.

Bonus Technical Skills and Experience:

• Hands-on experience working with Kubernetes.
• Experience using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.
• Experience working in AWS, Azure, GCP or other cloud-based platforms.
• Software engineering experience in Node.js or Python.
