Supported Housing Manager – Berkshire, Buckinghamshire & Hampshire – Hybrid Working – Reputable Charity – Social Working Hours – Competitive Pay Rate – Long Term Vacancy

The Organisation:
A responsible and progressive charity, aiming to provide social justice and support to vulnerable groups of people across the UK; victims of domestic violence, ex-offenders, young people, people with mental health difficulties and those struggling with substance misuse. They are a well-established organisation with a positive market reputation and over 20 years of experience in supported living.
This company are currently operating supported housing services for rehabilitating ex-offenders that have left a prison setting. The service ensures the instilling of independent living skills, positive wellbeing and personal development within ex-offenders, working towards their bettering of life and prevention of repeat offending.
The Opportunities:
- Supported Housing Managers will be working full-time hours; 35-hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9AM to 5PM. You will have an on-call requirement for 1 in 4 weeks per month.
- Competitive pay rates; Supported Housing Managers are paid £26.72 (Umbrella).
- Contract length will be 6-months, before consideration for extension and/or permanence.
- You will be based remotely, but will cover patches across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire & Hampshire. Candidates will need to be located within one of the above counties.
- Mileage contribution will be paid from the nearest office to the first property, at £0.45 per mile.
The Responsibilities:
- Managing a team of staff, ensuring their ability to deliver housing management and support functions to service users in supported housing, including caseload management and the creation of support plans and risk assessments.
- Ensuring void time is minimised and rent collection done in a timely manner.
- Overseeing the day-to-day service management, including health & safety, maintenance and budget management.
- Developing and maintaining key relationships with external stakeholders to enable multi-agency work.
The Requirements:
- Experience in a senior capacity within a relevant industry, such as social care, social housing or local authority work.
- Proven working knowledge and experience of social housing management, including the processes involved in welfare & benefits and tenancy management.
The Desirables:
- 5 years of experience in social housing or social care.
- Housing membership or relevant qualifications, including CIH (Chartered Institution of Housing) or BA in Housing Management.
- Understanding of relevant legal framework and eviction/notice processes.
