Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Data Governance & Quality Analyst with over 8 years of expertise in the banking domain and a solid understanding of Informatica tools. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving their digital transformation initiatives, ensuring that the banking operations capitalise on the full potential of data and cloud services. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, you will analyse, define, and execute strategic projects aimed at enhancing their banking services and achieving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the analysis of business processes, systems, and data in the banking domain, identifying opportunities for optimisation, automation, and innovation.
- Elicit and document detailed business requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with data engineers and architects to design data storage, processing, and analytics solutions on AWS leveraging Informatica native tools, enabling data-driven decision-making.
- Stay up to date with industry regulations and best practices related to banking and cloud computing, ensuring our systems are compliant and secure.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and senior management to communicate project progress, risks, and opportunities.
- Create comprehensive project documentation, including functional specifications, process flows, and user manuals.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing within the organisation.
Essential skills:
- Informatica Data Governance (Axon, EDC)
- Informatica Data Quality (PowerCenter, Informatica Data Quality - IDQ)
- Prior Experience in Data Analysis in BFSI
- Expertise in SQL queries
- Knowledge about Big Data Concepts like Data Lakes, Data Warehouses
Desirable skills:
- Experience in Informatica IDMC
- AWS Data Services
- Snowflake
- Power BI
- other ETL tools
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the banking industry, with a strong understanding of retail and corporate banking operations.
- Proficiency in Informatica tools like Axon, EDC, IDMC, PowerCenter, Informatica Data Quality, and AWS cloud services, including but not limited to Amazon EMR, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and IAM. AWS certifications are a plus.
- Strong people management skills with experience in leading complex, cross-functional projects.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in documenting business requirements using tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
- Knowledge of data modelling and database design concepts.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Strong understanding of banking regulations and compliance.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and adapt to evolving business needs.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
