Job description

Join this innovative SME food business as a key member of the leadership team to support all aspects of finance management.

We are looking to hire a critical role within the Finance team to support the Managing Director of this SME food producer. The business has won numerous awards for innovation and use leading edge technologies to provide ready to eat fresh produce solutions in to retail and foodservice channels. The role has the official title of Management Accountant but could be an FC or Finance Manager. It is an integral role that will provide critical financial analysis and insights on the performance of the factory with a detailed focus on raw materials and packaging.

The business has complex operations working with European growers as well and co-pack manufacturing partnership.

The role will require extensive travel across two locations in the south but will primarily be based from a Sussex location - it is therefore essential that this person is happy and well set up for a role with regular travel.

To be successful in the role…..

You will currently be working within a Management Account, Finance Manager or Finance Controller role
You will have recent experience of working within Food Manufacturing and any experience of Fresh Produce or Contact Manufacturing will be highly advantageous
You will be well educated to degree level in Economics, Finance, accounting or similar and have a recognised professional qualification from a professional institution - ACCA/CIMA/ICAEW
It is essential you have the right to work in the UK
