About Our Client
Michael Page is working with a leading FMCG manufacturer to recruit a Site Quality Manager for their manufacturing facility in Greater Manchester. This organisation has a European presence and supplies a diverse range of high quality products and services to a wide range of customers.
Job Description
You will champion and lead a culture of quality across site, delivering a quality and product safety improvement mindset. You will ensure clear standards are in place and adhered to and will support CI activities across site. You will:
- Manage all day to day Quality and Product Safety activities across site, ensuring company, plant, stakeholder and regulatory standards are met
- Ensure compliance with BRC, ISO 9001 and all other relevant internal and external standards
- Management and continually develop procedures, documentation and auditing of the management system
- Effectively investigate and process complaints, managing the process for any corrective and preventative action
- Identify training needs to meet quality requirements, co-ordinate and deliver training where required
- Ensure site is always 'audit ready'
- Communicate and build rapport with customers
- Play a key role in the delivery and site strategy and budget as part of the site leadership team
- Develop expertise across site to continuously improve Quality and Product Safety across the site
The Successful Applicant
The successful Quality Manager will possess a range of the following:
- Experience managing Quality department within an FMCG manufacturing environment
- Fully quality Internal Auditor (preferably lead auditor)
- Demonstrable experience of developing and managing quality systems and auditing
- Excellent leadership acumen
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels and across all functions
- Analytical with a keen eye for detail and the ability to use root cause analysis techniques
- Proficient in reporting
- Experience in dealing with customers with the ability to work with and influence internal and external stakeholders
