The Role:
The successful candidate will focus on delivering projects using DevOps methodologies, tools, and practices, as well as the responsibility for training on SharePoint and other relevant IT tools. A key part of the role will be facilitating team and departmental understanding and use of these technologies. Collating reports for management from within MIS.
The Technical Project Coordinator plays an important role in the ICE Group, supporting the Technical Projects and Engagement Manager with understanding, planning, and overseeing the delivery of the technology roadmap. This includes comprehensive needs assessment, process analysis, and project management .
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Technical Project and Engagement Manager to deliver against the IT Road map and strategy as agreed with the organisation.
- To engage with Group staff to understand and help articulate their required technology systems and services.
- To work with staff at all levels in capturing current processes and developing target new ones.
- To constructively challenge current ways of working and propose alternatives which would increase efficiency and member value, guided by line manager.
- To support MIS managers and their teams in capturing requirements, planning work and delivering outputs to agreed quality levels.
- To support the Group Programme function on capturing agreed technology and change roadmaps, governance and progress reporting
- To support the Technical Project and Engagement Manager in capturing, monitoring and continually reviewing a set of MIS projects and development activities prioritised by business value and ability to deliver
- To directly coordinate projects
- To run and report on the twice yearly all staff IT survey. To review the survey and determine if it needs to be updated, in conjunction with line manager
What we are looking for:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Hands on understanding of technical project management (Internet technologies, Web development, front end, back end, databases, service operations, infrastructure services, DevOps, Agile)
- Security principles (Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability)
- Cloud / Hybrid computing and best practice
- Data monitoring capability and advanced excel skills
- Excellent verbal and written skills for stakeholder engagement and report writing
- Willingness to become a SharePoint expert, as a required area of expertise, and gaining a solid understanding of its configuration, customisation, and user training.
- Experience in coordinating complex technical projects
- Experience in working with stakeholders at different levels and with conflicting priorities
- Exposure to the work of technical teams covering systems development, testing, support and infrastructure
- Either degree qualified ideally in a numerate, engineering or science background or equivalent hands on experience gained from working environment.
