Experienced Maternity Nurse Required in Little Hadham, Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire
Position: Maternity Nurse- Nights only
Location: Little Hadham, Bishop's Stortford
Schedule: Night care 2 nights per week ideally a Wednesday and Friday weekday night 10pm-8am
Duration: 6 weeks with a week break w/c 23rd March
Start Date 13th March 2024
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Maternity Nurse to provide support to a lovely first-time family who recently welcomed their 8-week-old baby girl.She is suffering at the moment with acid reflux so some advice and support to help him to be more comfortable would be very welcome. The Maternity Nurse will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and sleep of both the baby and the parents for one night a week to allow them a much needed recharge. The ideal candidate will be registered with the agency, possess a valid Enhanced DBS check including NEST or similar maternity nurse qualification, and have excellent references that showcase their expertise in newborn care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional care and support to the newborn baby during the night
- Help settle the baby back to sleep after feeding to allow parents some much needed rest.Baby happily takes a bottle and is combination fed.
- Nappy changes and maintain proper hygiene for the baby.
- Offer guidance and share knowledge with the parents on newborn care, feeding, and sleeping techniques.
- Monitor the baby's health and well-being, promptly reporting any concerns to the parents.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for the baby, adhering to current health and safety guidelines.
- Support the parents emotionally, providing reassurance and guidance as they navigate their new role as parents.
Requirements:
- Registered with Happy Nest Nanny Agency and possess a valid Enhanced DBS check on the update service or be willing to become registered immediately.
Paediatric First Aid
Provide references from previous employers or clients to verify your experience and suitability for the role.
Previous experience working as a private maternity nurse is required.
Relevant Qualifications: Possession of relevant qualifications or certificates, such as NEST, MNT, BabyEm, HATA, Midwifery.
Salary £20 - 22 gross per hour.
Driver required as the area is tricky to reach via public transport
