Do you have experience of writing and leading funding bids?
Would you like to use them to support Refugees and Asylum Seekers in the Darlington area?
Do you have c8 hours per week and can attend c8 meetings per year?
What will you be doing?At DAR we care passionately that everyone who seeks sanctuary in this country deserves to be welcomed, treated with dignity and supported in navigating life in the UK. What makes us different is that every one of our members is a volunteer. With around 75 active volunteers involved in mentoring, teaching English, providing guidance, fundraising and campaigning, you can imagine how much funding that requires. That’s why we’re now looking for an experienced Bid Coordinator to drive our funding strategy
As our Bid Coordinator, you will:
We are particularly interested in receiving applications from those who have had experience as refugees or asylum seekers.
What difference will you make?Your skill in winning funding bids will enable us to establish a base for our volunteers and service users. Ensuring we have a steady income will also allow us to develop our services, as well as maintain those we currently provide to help Refugees and Asylum Seekers have a better quality of life as they settle here or await the Home Office decision on their claim.
