The role of Fundraising Manager at Hearts & Minds offers an incredibly exciting opportunity to drive meaningfulchange and support our impactful programmes at this momentous time in the charity’s history. As a pivotal memberof the team, you'll spearhead the development of a comprehensive fundraising strategy that directly fuelsthe organization's initiatives. Enhanced sick pay and leave entitlements
The Signature Project was established in summer 2022 to support men aged 16 and over who live in the city and whohave Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Many of the men face multiple challenges and have not sought help before.We help men to identify what is important to them and the steps they can take to manage the psychological andsocial impacts of trauma. We offer face to face, online and telephone support from our base at the StaffordCentre and work with men in the community. We also host a peer support group facilitated by men with livedexperience.
Change Mental Health have just received an award from the National Lottery Improving Lives Fund to recruit anadditional Outreach Worker to the project. This is a varied and rewarding role in a skilled and committed team,offering person-centred support to a wide range of men across Edinburgh. We are seeking someone who ispassionate about making a real difference to some of the most marginalised men in the city, and who can work inclose partnership with statutory and voluntary partners. As a Centre Activities Coordinator, you will play a vitalrole in developing and delivering our brain health and dementia support programs at our new centre inMotherwell.
This unique approach is inspired by the pioneer, Alois Alzheimer, who first identified the brain disease we nowrecognise as the leading cause of dementia. As a Centre Activities Coordinator, you'll collaborate closely with the Centre Manager to create a comprehensiveprogram of activities that align with our ALOIS principles. You'll play a key role in liaising withstakeholders from Health and Social Care, NHS, and the wider community to enhance service delivery and raiseawareness about brain health.
Your exceptional organisational skills will be put to use as you plan, review, and evaluate the activities within theCentres. With a focus on continuous improvement, you'll ensure that individuals accessing our services havea welcoming and inclusive experience, where their concerns are heard and understood.
To excel in this role, you'll bring excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Your passion for supportingindividuals affected by dementia will drive you to create a safe and supportive environment. Familiarity withhealth and safety regulations, along with proficiency in standard office software and IT systems, will enableyou to coordinate activities seamlessly.
