About the role
We are looking for a strategic business partner to the People, Finance and Transformation Directors, working in the heart of our Head Office.
You will work closely with the People and Finance leadership teams to support delivery of our Save to Invest plan, a key pillar of our group strategy, and the transformation team crafting the business case for the People and Finance Transformation programmes. There are also opportunities for broader project work across Group Procurement and Channels Finance.
You will be responsible for
- Supporting the People and Finance Leadership teams in their delivery of savings targets and management of their cost base.
- Partnering with various senior colleagues to develop robust business cases. Building and maintaining strong working relationships aross a broad colleague base
- Working closely with the FP&A team and Technology team to ensure integrity of financial reporting and forecasting.
- Adding value – you will provide big picture thinking through insight & analysis to assist in identifying and addressing key opportunities and risks to meeting or exceeding planned savings targets.
- Development of business cases for People, Finance and Transformation programmes including, but not limited to, workforce of the future and building a digital colleague experience.
- Providing input into Transformation investment reviews e.g. financial modelling, to ensure value-add initiatives are prioritised.
- Communicating accurate information and messaging effectively plus managing complex conversations to influence others in reaching positive outcomes.
- Ensuring robust control and compliance applied to Head Office activities. To contribute to the safeguarding of assets, management of risks and the reliability of reporting.
- Opportunity to lead ad-hoc projects across Group Procurement and Channels Finance.
You will need
- An accountancy qualification - CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent
- Excellence at building relationships with multiple colleagues, utilising strong communication skills. Willingness to challenge colleagues who have a lot of experience in their field
- Experience in effectively managing expectations and prioritisation
- To be a team player – the Transformation programmes impact multiple cost lines and therefore collaboration is key
