Job Description
This is an exciting new opportunity to join the team as we currently have a position available as an Editorial Support Coordinator, within our Books division!
This role is part of a centralised squad responsible for providing administrative assistance to the editorial department. Tasks are not limited to, but include, gratis book orders workflow and other administrative tasks that contribute to a first class experience for authors and reviewers during the commissioning to publication journey.
What you'll be doing:
- Collate and check supplied author/contributor delivery data to ensure system compliance and liaises with those groups to correct/fill as appropriate
- Upload correctly formatted gratis requests (both e and print) to the gratis database
- Track gratis requests via centralised reports and following up on failed orders in a timely fashion.
- Liaise with other Editorial Support Coordinators (ESCs) to troubleshoot questions/problems, and ensure knowledge is shared, guidance documentation is updated (as appropriate), and standards are applied consistently within relevant process.
- In conjunction with the other ESCs, proactively ensure balanced and efficient workflows.
- Develop sufficient knowledge of key systems
Closing date for applications: 13th March 2024
This position is a fixed-term contract lasting for 9 months.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.) as well as ability to research on search engines such as Google and Google Scholar
- Capacity to learn new systems quickly and efficiently
- Capacity to adapt to meet the evolving demands of the department
