About The Role

We are have an exciting opportunity for a Mobile Technology Engineer to join our IT department. You will ensure the effective operation, maintenance and support of the organisations mobile technology devices.

With direction from the End User Services Manager, we are looking for someone who can bring innovation around products and processes to the role.

On a day to day basis, you will ensure the effective configuration and management of LiveWest Mobile Device Management solutions. You will assist with the distribution of LiveWest end user hardware for new starters and leavers and carry out software builds of LiveWest end user hardware.

Excellent communication skills are key to this role, as you will be advising and supporting colleagues across the business on the use of their mobile devices. 

This role is being offered on a full time, permanent basis and will be based in our Exeter office. A hybrid working style is an option.

About The Candidate

To be considered for the role of  Mobile Technology Engineer, you will be / have:

• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and business colleagues.
• Logical and methodical approach to diagnosing and troubleshooting problems.
• Knowledge of the implementation and operation of MDM software.
• Good knowledge of Windows,  Android and IOS operating systems.
• Good knowledge of networking, VPNs and firewalls.
• Ability to be proactive in identifying business needs and a can-do approach to meeting them.
• Ability to engage with a variety of people at all levels & with different levels of IT skills & knowledge.
• Ability to handle & prioritise a busy workload, juggling changing priorities.
• Able to cope positively with interruptions & engage with the bigger picture of the IT service.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills, particularly listening with the ability to build relationships across different teams/directorates.
• Full and valid driving licence, prepared to travel to alternative sites on a regular basis
• Knowledge of Intune and/or SOTI will be advantageous.
