They are actively seeking a permanent Trading Technical Manager.
As the Trading Technical Manager, your primary responsibility is to oversee the technical aspects of the company’s trading platform, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, legislation, and codes of practice. You will be directly accountable for maintaining the integrity, food safety, quality, and legality of all traded products. Your duties include maintaining and improving the implemented HACCP & Quality Management System, ensuring adherence to good manufacturing practices throughout the supply chain. Your key responsibilities encompass designing industry-leading standards, procedures, policies, and associated recording mechanisms for trading operations, aligning with current food manufacturing, safety, quality assurance, traceability, and packaging waste regulations. Implementing a culture of continuous improvement, conducting root cause analyses, and sustainable corrective actions is essential. You’ll lead internal and external auditing systems in line with operational targets, support and lead direct and indirect reports, collaborate with the Management Team to foster a culture of excellence, ensure compliance with GFSI Agents and Brokers certification, and manage key customer relationships at a Senior Technical level. You will also be responsible for supplier management, GFSI Agents and Brokers certification maintenance, and developing the technical team to meet business needs.

To excel as the Trading Technical Manager, you must possess extensive technical expertise and management experience in food manufacturing and trading environments, including a deep understanding of BRC or GFSI global standards, industry best practices, and guidance. A degree in Food Science, relevant industry experience, effective communication skills, a proactive and self-motivated attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are crucial. You should have a proven track record in people management, experience in multi-tiered organisations, and the ability to anticipate and address issues effectively. Holding a HACCP Level 4 Qualification is essential, and the ability to travel across Europe and Asia (over 40%) is required. Strong leadership, results-oriented mindset, customer focus, team-building skills, and a passion for continuous improvement are key attributes. Proficiency in multiple languages is desirable.
