Job description
Wow, where do we start…known as YHA’s quirkiest hostel we are situated literally on the beach on the glorious North Yorkshire Moors Coast.
Sea swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking can all be enjoyed from our doorstep. The Cleveland way runs past the door and makes for beautiful clifftop walks to the old fishing village of Robin Hood’s Bay (about a mile away).
The team here has a strong eco focus, everything we can is recycled and or reused and we have a dedicated beach cleaning station on site.
Whitby our nearest town, home of the famous Abbey and Dracula is one of the UK’s loveliest coastal towns…regularly holding Goth and Steampunk weekends… it’s also nicely alternative, with loads of independent shops. Our live-in accommodation is situated right next to the Abbey on the headland looking over the town…you will need a car to get backwards and forwards to Boggle (but will benefit from being close to shops and pubs).
Business wise we are a crazy mix of Schools and Families on seaside holidays and we have an amazing Café/Bar on site, its hard work but very rewarding and we have a great team spirit.
Our hostel offers an entirely distinctive workplace, far from the ordinary office setting. At YHA Boggle Hole, we believe in valuing our team members and ensuring they have access to great perks:
We have a variety of hours available some 10am until 2pm helping with the housekeeping and cafe and also 4pm until 9pm in the kitchen helping to feed everyone. We have a job helping with the grounds and deliveries, and also some full time jobs for the season..
We do not have accommodation with these positions and due to our location you will need transport to get to us.
