Holt Executive are partnered with an innovative design and integration business that specialises in electro-optics and supplies to various markets across the globe. Our partner is hiring a Test Engineer – Electrical/Electro-Mechanical to join their dynamic Test Department.
You will be responsible for testing components, sub-assemblies, assemblies, and entire systems to ensure they meet our high standards.
Key Responsibilities for the Test Engineer – Electrical/Electro-Mechanical:
- Conduct rigorous testing of components, sub-assemblies, assemblies, and complete systems using industry-standard equipment.
- Collaborate with engineers to create comprehensive test procedures and factory acceptance tests for new product launches.
- Fault-find and troubleshooting electromechanical equipment and pinpoint production or design issues.
- Ensure that health and safety regulations and guidelines are always followed.
- Maintain documentation to ensure it is kept accurate and up to date in accordance with ISO9001 standards.
- Assist in maintaining the office and workshop in a clean and orderly state and ensure good project housekeeping.
- Supporting field service when needed.

Key Skills and Experience for the Test Engineer - Electrical/Electro-Mechanical:
- Solid knowledge of manual testing of electrical and electro-mechanical systems.
- Experience with manual testing and integration.
- The ability to write comprehensive test plans and factory acceptance tests for new product launches.
- Able to read complex technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and PCB schematics.
- Willing to support production and quality activities as needed.
- Formal electronics engineering education (ONC or equivalent) and experience with manual tests and integration.
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Desirable Skills and Experience for the Test Engineer - Electrical/Electro-Mechanical:
- PCB testing and fault-finding experience.
- Knowledge of digital camera and video protocols.
- Experience with automated test software.
- PLC programming skills.
- Experience in CAD packages.
- Understanding of communication protocols and network infrastructure.
