Job description

To provide professional and proficient administration support to the Manufacturing department and the Manufacturing Manager in the day‐to‐day administration requirements.

Reporting to Manufacturing Manager

Duties & Responsibilities:

Production Planning:
• Updating the department planning boards with overtime, production order reports, sales orders & packing drawings.
• Progressing weekly consumable requests from Manufacturing Supervisors to the Stores department.
• Completing Test & Inspection folders in readiness for T&I completion dates.

Resource:
• Checking overtime sheets in accordance with company procedure and ensuring timely processing for payroll.
• Collating and logging personnel holiday request forms for resource planning before issuing to HR.

Shipping:
• Generate packing lists and dispatch paperwork. Being integral to the onsite efficient loading and shipping process.
• Operating in accordance with commercial / contract requirements.

Facilities:
• Maintaining an up‐to‐date facilities maintenance log and actively working to resolve issues.
• Raising purchase orders, scheduling, and managing onsite contractor’s attendance when required.
• Monitoring the completion of the manufacturing checklists including housekeeping, equipment checks and scheduling maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain the facility waste management systems, including skip hire, routine waste collections and pallet disposal.

General Admin:
• Maintaining a personal tool allowance spreadsheet and placing the necessary purchase orders.
• Assisting in matters relating to Health & Safety.
• Ensuring Health & Safety & PPE procedures are readily available and assist in completing adherence checks.
• Developing and implementing of department procedures.
• Concise & orderly maintenance of information and filing of documentation.

• Developed IT competence and PC Skills including Microsoft project.
• Proven ability to meet scheduled deadlines.
• Disciplined and accurate approach to manufacturing processes.
• Advanced written and oral communication skills.

Qualifications:

• Qualification in a Business discipline desirable and / or demonstrated relative experience.
