Finance Officer

The Organisation
Our client is a faith-based organisation comprising of three Districts (Southern, North Western and North Eastern). Each District is made up from circuits. Circuits are made up of “societies” throughout Ireland.
Our client is now looking for a Finance Officer to join their team on a permanent basis, on either a full or part-time contract.

The Role
As a Finance Officer, you will support the healthy finances of our client’s organisation through an array of financial activities.
Assisting the Finance Team, you’ll make payments and collections, record income, perform reconciliations and assist with management and consolidated accounts, ensuring our client’s financial systems are up to date.
You’ll ensure funds are collected in a timely manner and invoices and expense claims are appropriately authorised, maintaining accurate accounting records.
Additionally, you will:
- Review payroll reports
- Process and review Gift Aid claims
- Assist with producing budgets and financial reports
- Assist with processing monthly returns templates
- Support the maintenance of fixed asset registers
About You
To be considered as a Finance Officer, you will need:
- Experience in a busy finance office
- Experience of using an accounting package (e.g. Sage, QuickBooks, SUN, Oracle, SAP)
- Analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills including planning, setting priorities and meeting deadlines
