SEO Manager
Bristol one day a week/rest can be remote
£40k-50k
A newly created SEO Manager role, you will be responsible for setting up the function in-house and making it successful
AS SEO Manager you’ll plan and deliver SEO campaigns that focus on driving rankings and traffic
Experience of using a three pillar SEO strategy of content, authority and technical, with
an approach to link building to increase rankings of selected phrases and increase new users visiting sites. Comfortable planning how to maximise traffic to the websites as you are rolling up your sleeves and getting your hands dirty with the doing, whether that’s implementing improvements you’ve found in your technical audit, or creating SEO blog briefs. You understand how to integrate SEO with other areas of marketing for maximum impact.
The role is Bristol based once a week/hybrid, therefore there is a need to be local to the South West/Bristol area. You’ll be comfortable working in a fast paced, ever evolving business!
What you’ll need:
Around 8 years SEO experience in a fast-paced consumer focussed business.
Technical SEO knowledge, ability to build technical strategies.
Awareness of the evolving role of EEAT and HCU in SEO
Ability to manage and use tools like GSC, Ahrefs, SEM rush, GA, Screaming Frog
Able to produce and evaluate content from both an editorial and SEO perspective
Responsibilities:
Keyword research and analysis: Identify high-impact keywords relevant to the industry, products, and services.
On-page optimisation: Optimise website content, meta tags, and structure for improved search engine visibility.
Own outreach: Develop and deliver effective link-building and digital PR strategies to enhance domain authority
Content planning and production: Collaborate with the content team to create SEO-friendly, engaging content that resonates with target audience.
Produce clear briefs: Create blog briefs for our freelance SEO copywriter and internal content team to fulfil.
Content distribution strategies: Develop strategies for distributing SEO-friendly content across various channels to maximise reach.
Technical SEO: Conduct technical audits and implement necessary improvements to ensure optimal site performance.
CRO: Work closely with the team to optimise landing pages for conversion, ensuring that they are not only visually appealing but also aligned with SEO best practices to enhance organic search visibility.
Monitoring and reporting: Track and analyse website performance using SEO tools, providing regular reports and insights - understanding the competitive landscape and market trends.
SEO advocacy and education: Help train others on the marketing and content
