SEND Teaching Assistant Required for Mainstream Primary School

We are currently working with a lovely mainstream school in the Wolverhampton area. They are a mainstream primary school and pride themselves in being able to meet each individual child's needs wherever possible. They are currently looking for a SEND teaching assistant for a one to one support role based in and outside of the classroom.

The successful candidate will work with a 7 year old child with challenging behaviours. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 3:30, whereby the child will work one to one with the staff member for the full day. With this in mind, experience with autism, challenging behaviour and working on a one to one basis is essential. This is the perfect opportunity to make a real difference to this child’s life and learning.

Job details:
• One to one support with a 7 year old child with ASD
• Full time hours (8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday)
• Ongoing basis, starting ASAP
• Working independently and as part of a team

Requirements:
• Experience of working with individuals with Autism– Essential
• Experience in working with challenging behaviours - Essential
• Experience working in a primary school setting - Preferred but not essential
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service required or we’re happy to carry out a new one ahead of you starting the position – Essential
• Minimum of 2 good references – Essential
