Junior Accountant - Preston

Agility Resourcing is a specialist recruitment company working in partnership with our client, a well-established and respected healthcare practice in Preston. We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join their friendly and professional team.
As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing and posting journal entries for various clients
- Reconciling bank accounts and other balance sheet items
- Preparing VAT returns and other tax computations
- Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts and audit files
- Supporting senior accountants with ad hoc tasks and projects
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- AAT qualification or equivalent, or studying towards ACCA/CIMA
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a practice environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- A positive and proactive attitude
