Job Type: Full-Time 37.5 hours a week
Salary: £26,573 to £31,704 (Spine Points 22 to 28)

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join our team as a Communications and Events Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of events across our College, Multi Academy Trust and newly formed charitable foundation. These could be launch events, high-profile stakeholder visits, student awards ceremonies or open events for potential students to see what we can offer – sometimes all in the same week!
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the events lead for the Group and lead on the planning and effective co-ordination of events
- Support the wider work of the team by identifying and capturing case studies, lead on internal and external campaigns to recognise and celebrate student achievement
- Develop and maintain an events calendar that ensures the promotion of FE, HE, Apprenticeship and commercial elements of the College
- To work across the College to run a series of effective and engaging open events throughout the year to support student recruitment
- Work with community partners develop engaging community events, or attendance at existing events, that promote the College and its offer across South East London
- To organise highly engaging and innovative annual award, recognition and celebration events
- To be part of the wider Marketing and Communications Team, generating creative ideas and supporting College events and marketing activities as needed
About you
- Proven experience in creating, planning and delivering engaging events for a variety of audiences and objectives
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of how to use social media and other marketing communications channels, to promote an event and encourage engagement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Comfortable working at pace with a wide variety of stakeholders
