Multi-Skilled Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical) - Boston
Are you an experienced engineer seeking a dynamic role in the food processing industry? We're currently looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join an ambient food processor in Boston. As a trusted recruitment partner, we're eager to connect skilled engineers with this excellent opportunity.
Role Overview:
- Position: Multi-Skilled Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical)
- Location: Boston
- Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off rotating
- Salary: £47,000 for fully qualified Electrical Engineers | £45,000 for Mechanical Engineers plus formal electrical qualifications (rising to £47,000 upon completion)

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Performing mechanical and electrical troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimise downtime and increase efficiencies.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support production goals and maintain safety standards.
- Upholding health and safety protocols and promoting a culture of safety within the organisation.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role, preferably within the food processing industry.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair complex machinery.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
- Commitment to health and safety standards and a focus on continuous improvement.
