Occupational Therapist (OT) - Community Services
Rate: £25-30 per hour
3 month contract
Wakefield
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Community Services team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering exceptional care to our clients while demonstrating a commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Diploma in Occupational Therapy (Dip COT) or relevant OT Degree
Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HPC)
Holds a valid driving licence and has access to a vehicle
Completion of a recognised professional practice educator course
Key Responsibilities:
To be responsible for the delivery of Occupational Therapy within the Community Occupational Therapy Service, and as a unit of Social Services and Health, utilising in-depth theoretical and technical skills.
To independently manage a caseload of people in the community with complex needs within the Community Occupational Therapy Service using evidence based, person centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions in order to minimise disability, and to maximise functional ability for independent, or supported living.
To provide leadership, supervision, and appraisal for junior and non-qualified staff and students.
To participate in the planning, development and evaluation of Occupational Therapy Service, holding responsibility for defined projects.
