Job description

A wonderful live-out nanny position has become available, working with a professional and friendly family who live in Amersham, Buckinghamshire.

You will be looking after two happy and friendly girls, aged twelve years and seven years. The girls enjoy arts and crafts, board games and baking. They are looking for a kind and caring nanny who will enjoy spending time with them.

The hours will be Monday-Thursday, 15.00-20.00 (20 hours). For a pre-agreed ten weeks across the year in the school holidays, the hours will change to three mutually agreed days each week, 08.30-18.30 (30 hours). Your salary will be split evenly across the year. There could also be some ad hoc babysits and additional days, but these will be mutually agreed separately and paid as overtime.

In the school holidays, the parents would like you to take the children on fun and educational day trips and activities, meeting up with their friends to help them to socialise, keeping them happy and safe at all times.

As well as collecting the children from school or their clubs, you will help to keep them organised. This includes tasks such as general childcare, overseeing homework, the children’s laundry, keeping their bedrooms and playroom organised and tidy, ensuring they have everything they need for the next day (uniform prepared, etc). Although there is a weekly cleaner, any help to keep the house running smoothly would be appreciated (keeping the kitchen tidy, emptying the dishwasher, running the occasional errand, unloading the online shopping delivery, etc).

You will be responsible for preparing healthy and nutritious meals for the children each day, preferably homemade whenever possible.

At the end of the day, you will leave all used rooms tidy, ready for the parents to take over.

You should be a careful and confident driver with a clean driving licence and your own fully insured car. Duty mileage will be paid.

Details of any training needed for this job: Enhanced DBS (update) and 12 Hour Paediatric First Aid
Details of any qualifications needed for this job: Level 3 childcare if possible, but experience essential
Days required: Monday-Thursday, 15.00-20.00
