Job Description - Agriculture Accountant
- Provide financial advice and support to farmers and rural businesses.
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
- Manage and maintain client relationships.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to deliver high-quality service.
- To manage the commercial aspects of all engagements, ensuring fee quotes are prepared and agreed, work is scheduled appropriately, time costs are properly managed, and invoices are raised on a timely basis.
- Conduct business development activities to attract new clients.
- Attend industry events to network and promote the company's services.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Agriculture Accountant should have:
- A professional accounting qualification - ACA or ACCA
- Managerial experience or wanting the step up to Manager
- Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.
- Proven experience in managing client relationships and a portfolio of work.
- Previous experience of farming / agricultural / rural businesses desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
