In this exciting role as Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist , you will share your passion to enhance a culture where everyone is committed to the health and safety of their colleagues, customers, communities, visitors and contractors; and to protect the environment for future generations.

You will be based on the Ashford site and reporting to the EHS Manager, you will support them in promoting the EHS culture across the organisation whilst helping to ensure compliance with all UK legislative and Givaudan Corporate requirements. 

You Will:

• Champion EHS : coordinate and play a key role in employee safety committee meetings; following up on agreed actions and conduct EHS onboarding, toolbox talks and other EHS training as required.
• Organise, plan and support:  support audits and the development and implementation of policies and procedures; ensuring continued improvement and excellence.
• Complete  incident investigations, risk assessment and regulatory documentation with high attention to detail and a process-oriented mindset.
• Build relationships: partner with key internal and external stakeholders including relevant authorities to maintain a good and regular collaborative partnership.

Your professional profile includes:

• Work experience within an EHS role and prior experience in a manufacturing, or similar medium to a high level of hazard, setting.
• Relevant experience in the food, chemical or similar industry.
• Knowledge of air, hazardous waste, wastewater, compliance programmes and participation in Emergency Response Teams is desirable.
• Recognised EHS qualification (NEBOSH or equivalent) with working knowledge of current UK legislative and corporate EHS requirements.
• Experience of EHS and risk management systems.
• Fluency in English
