Help young people maintain independent living, access, and feel part of their community. Support young people to look at their future aspirations and give them the opportunity to thrive.
The Person:
Show emotional intelligence in dealing with the multiple needs of young people. Passionate about working with vulnerable young people to improve their lives. Have good IT skills and be diplomatic, assertive, and able to work collaboratively with a wide range of groups to achieve best practice outcomes for young people. Ability to support young people who might struggle to regulate their emotions and engage with services through an understanding of psychological and trauma informed approaches. Work flexibly across the City, including carrying out home visits. Ability to ensure young people are safe by adhering to safeguarding procedures, relevant legislation, and policies, taking a multi-agency approach.
At YHN we are committed to being a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) that prioritises its relationships with customers and invests in staff learning and development.
