PROJECTS SOLICITOR - NQ-6 PQE - NEWCASTLE

THE ROLE
- You will be advising on some of the most complex and high profile infrastructure and services projects which the public sector delivers
- You will have the opportunity to work with an impressive database of clients from local government and central government departments to NHS Trusts, contractors, funders, universities and other public sector bodies- Exciting project examples include delivering green infrastructure such as heat networks which deliver low carbon heat and will play an important role in decarbonising the UK.
- Your role will involve getting stuck in to all aspects of projects from inception, procurement, completion, through to the operational phase including front-end contract strategy, project documentation, contract variation, regulatory matters and risk management across various sectors
THE REQUIREMENTS
- The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with experience Commercial Contracts and preferably you will have worked with both public and private sector clients
- You will ideally have between 0-6 years PQE, although candidates with more experience, or qualifications via alternative routes are welcome to apply
- Ideally you will have experience working as a Projects Lawyer, and experience in the waste/heat networks sector would be an advantage although not essential
- Solid drafting experience is essential as you will be drafting and reviewing contracts, utilising your knowledge of public sector regulations to navigate complex contractual matters
- Candidates from an in-house or private practice background are welcome to apply
