Job Introduction
As a Kitchen Porter for Sodexo at Exeter School, you will be a key part of the kitchen team. You'll be responsible for maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness within the kitchen and food & beverage preparation areas. Your cheerful, can-do attitude will make you a major part of the everyone's every day.

What you’ll do :
- Washing all crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils and equipment, food service equipment.
- Ensuring that the following are kept clean and tidy and to a very high standard:
- Floors & Walls, Bins – inside and out, Crushing and disposal of cardboard and boxes, Fridges & Freezers (with assistance of chefs), Delivery areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of working areas.
- To be aware of and to adhere to all health and safety, fire, hygiene and COSHH regulations governing the work you are undertaking and to ensure the correct chemicals/detergents are always used.
- Report all accidents (and near misses) to the Chef.
- To report any shortages in equipment or chemicals to the Supervisor
What you bring :
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and respect for others
- Basic food-handling skills
- Be physically able to lift heavy items and work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
- No previous work experience required.
