Job description

Spencer Clarke Group are currently seeking qualified Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic Psychologists to join our NHS client in South Essex. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on the mental health and well-being of individuals during a crucial transition period.

This role is open to Psychologists Band 7- 8b

Role Overview:

As a Transition Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals during their transition periods, facilitating positive mental health outcomes. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with diverse populations and contribute to the well-being of the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate effectively within large multidisciplinary teams, navigating challenges and fostering a cohesive working environment.
• Demonstrate or develop a systemic understanding of team and organisational dynamics, contributing to overall goals.
• Exhibit excellent assessment and therapy skills, utilising psychometric tools for informed decision-making.
• Confidently make professional recommendations on risk assessment and contribute to effective risk management plans.
• Foster teamwork, open communication, and collaborative problem-solving within the team.
• Provide training sessions, offer consultation services, and actively participate in supervision for ongoing professional development.
• Maintain composure in high-pressure situations, serving as a stabilising influence and approaching challenges with a positive and solution-oriented mindset.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic Psychologist
• HCPC registered
• Experience of Acute psychiatric inpatient work and extensive experience of working with people diagnosed with Personality Disorders.
