Job description

Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of the London Borough of Lambeth for a full-time position as a Youth Offending Service (YOS) Officer. This role will initially be on a 3-month placement, with potential for extension. This is an excellent opportunity to work innovatively with young people from diverse backgrounds, offering support to ensure they reach their full potential.

Responsible to: Team Manager (YOS)

Main Purpose of Job

The YOS Officer will manage a case load of youth justice cases, working creatively with young people and their families to deliver interventions that support their personal and social skills. By engaging young people subject to youth justice orders, and those at risk of anti-social behavior, crime, NEET status, and substance misuse, the YOS Officer will directly contribute to positive outcomes within the community.

Duties

The YOS Officer's responsibilities include engaging with young people from diverse backgrounds at all stages of case management, analyzing and assessing risks and welfare needs, and creating intervention plans in collaboration with young people and families. They will also liaise with key agencies, represent the YOS at meetings and court proceedings, and maintain accurate case management records.
