Roles & Responsibilities

Our client is looking for a sales professional who is driven, self-motivated, and has a positive ‘can-do’ attitude. Previous experience working in a sales environment is essential, particularly product sales.

As a business development executive, you’ll identify new business opportunities in order to generate revenue, improve profitability and help the business grow

Your work will involve careful strategic planning and positioning in the appropriate markets, and enhancing the operation of the business, position and reputation.

You will report to the General Manager and play an integral role in the future success of the business.

This will be an office-based opportunity.

The Main role:

Responsibilities would start with:

Utilise the current database to reach out to new customers

Generate interest in the company range – using over the phone and email

Research and identify new business opportunities

Seek out the appropriate contacts in an organisation

Responding to customer’s enquiries via telephone or email in an efficient and effective manner ensuring to meet an excellent level of service. Accurately quoting correct products and specifications whilst offering advice and recommendations where required

have a good understanding of the businesses’ products or services and be able to advise others about them

discuss promotional strategy and activities

liaise with the finance team, warehousing and other departments as appropriate

follow up on sales enquires

Skills Required

Proven experience in a product sales role

Commercially aware

Excellent attention to detail with the ability to prioritise

Driven and target focused

IT Literate with experience/knowledge of Sage/ACT or similar database platforms/systems would be an advantage

Driven and motivated with the ability to use own initiative and meet targets

Confident communicator with the ability to interact on all levels

HOURS OF WORK: 8.30 – 5.00pm Monday – Friday, 30 minutes for lunch

HOLIDAY: 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
