Position Introduction
As a DevOps Engineer you will play a vital role in streamlining development processes, improving collaboration, and ensuring the stability and securityof HALO's applications.
Day to Day Responsibilities - Develop CI/CD pipelines for application build, container deployment, and infrastructure updates.
- Develop the test plan and test script to automate the software testing and deployment process.
- Manage the software release in Agile process, actively monitor, maintain and troubleshoot the cloud services and applications in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular software code review with the team, ensure the software release is fully functional and highly secured from threats and vulnerability risks
- Continuously review the DevOps process to maximise the performance efficiency and reduce the costings of software development/deployment, cloud services, operation and technical support.
- Work closely with the development team and technical support team
Qualifications - Bachelor degrees or above in information technology, computer science, software engineering or related fields OR a minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience working as a DevOps engineer
- Relevant DevOps certifications such as, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional Exam OR Jenkins Certification OR Docker certificate associateOR Kubernetes certificationOR Azure DevOps Solution CertificationOR Exam Puppet Certified Professional
Skills - Experience working on AWS cloud services (IAM, EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, networking)
- Experience in the configuration and running of a CI/CD pipeline
- Strong knowledge in Linux, MacOS and Windows
- Strong knowledge of software development life cycles and familiar with the development tools such as Jenkins, Spring Boot, Eclipse, VS Code, Bitbucket, Git, JIRA, Docker, Terraform, etc.
- Strong programming skills (e.g. Java, JavaScript, JSON, Python, HTML, C/C++, MQTT, Elasticsearch, Restful API)
- Strong knowledge of software processes and development cycles using Agile, DevOps, CICD, Kanban etc.
- Excellent communication skills, strong sense of teamwork, self motivation and time management in a fast moving environment
