Job description
Our construction client in the greater Dungannon area are currently recruiting for a Fully Qualified Accountant to join the team.You will be responsible for the financial management of the business and will work as part of the senior management team to assist in the efficient and effective management of the company. Duties Include:
- To lead, develop and motivate the accounts team, providing for the engagement and welfare, ensuring tasks are delegated whilst ensuring quality through review mechanisms.
- Preparation of quarterly management accounts.
- Preparation of monthly job costings.
- Preparation of statutory financial statements.
- Preparation of financial information as appropriate for the Board of Directors to aid the decision-making process.
- Management of CIS, PAYE and VAT functions.
- Cash flow management and projections.
- Co-ordination of monthly operations meetings with QS department and Company Directors to review job performance.
- Develop and recommend / implement process improvements.
- Continuous improvement across the operations network through the introduction of disciplined procedures and by developing and maintaining internal controls.
- Any other duties required to fulfil the requirements of the position.
Knowledge, skills, and experience required: - Previous people management experience
- Fully Qualified with at least three years post qualification experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong excel skills.
- Ability to drive change where necessary.
- Previous experience within the Construction industry would be desirable but is not essential.
- A good team player with strong professional work ethic.
