No experience of working with children is necessary, but you will need:
· the ability to relate well to children
· the confident to assist students on an individual basis and in small group/whole class work
· excellent communication and motivational skills to engage young people
· the ability to demonstrate emotional intelligence
· enthusiasm for supporting students with differing needs/ability
· knowledge of the diverse demands of working in a multi-cultural environment
The post is 29 hours 10 minutes per week (over 5 days), term time only. The actual salary based on these hours and term time only is £16,468 to £17,319. Part-time hours maybe considered so please indicate on your application form your availability.
