Job description

**Job Title: Joiner/ Bespoke Cabinet Maker**

**Salary:** Up to £37,000 depending on experience.

**Shift:** Standard 40-hour work week

Our client, a Midlands-based furniture manufacturer, seeks a skilled Joiner/Bespoke Cabinet Maker for diverse projects, from individual pieces to architectural installations. The ideal candidate is highly skilled, organised, and deadline-oriented, capable of leading projects independently or with a small team. Passion for detail and quality workmanship is essential.

**Key Responsibilities and Skills:**

* Strong understanding of design principles and meticulous attention to detail.
* Proficiency in interpreting detailed construction drawings, both in paper and digital formats.
* Advanced skills in practical furniture making and joinery.
* Competence in operating a variety of woodworking machinery, with relevant qualifications.
* Experience and knowledge working with a diverse range of timber, veneers, and manufactured boards.
* Familiarity with integrating secondary materials such as metal trims, glass, and leather into projects.
* Sound understanding of cabinet jointing techniques and modern fixing methods using power tools.
* Proficiency in installing modern fittings such as drawer runners, hinges, and architectural ironmongery.
* Skills in veneering, including material selection, cutting, jointing, and pressing using hydraulic and bag presses.
* Commitment to maintaining high personal standards of workmanship and presentation.
* Excellent planning, organisational, and prioritization skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
