Job Title:Multi Skilled Engineer
Shift: 4 on 4 off – 7am to 7pm and 7pm to 7am (2 Days/2 Nights)
Position:Full time
Reports to: Engineering Shift Manager
Locations: Ornua Foods UK, Leek
Salary:£47,000-£53,000 per annum depending on experience

Ornua is actively seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer to join our Engineering department as we continue our growth trajectory. You will be responsible for delivering a high-quality, professional service to our stakeholders, and whilst ongoing maintenance and reactive tasks are necessary, our engineers need to be proactive and forward thinking in their approach to ensure that production continues to run with maximum efficiency enabling our clients’ needs to be met.

Why This Role Is Valuable:
As our next Multi Skilled Engineer you will;
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance tasks in line with the schedule and undertake emergency breakdown repairs
- Follow up tasks from PPM and order any spare parts required
- Ensure compliance to Health and safety/food safety standards at all times
- Carry out dynamic risk assessments in line with your daily tasks
- Maintain and improve standards of hygiene and housekeeping in all areas of the factory including the engineering office and workshop
- Ensure production lines are running in optimum condition
- Assist in the installation of new equipment to the site
- Use and maintain the Mainsaver CMMS system
- Developand upskill of wider team where applicable
- Provide both Reactive & PPM
- Work on a Variety of Kit Including Cheese cutting equipment (Block/portion/Sliced/Grated), Conveyors, Multihead Weighers, Packaging Equipment & Metal detectors
- Ensure that equipment is set up and ready for shift start
What You Bring To The Role:
- Trained to L3 and relevant qualification in Engineering (HNC/ HND)
- Base knowledge of food production lines/process machinery from experience within FMCG/ food industry
- PC competent (Word/Excel)
- Experience in trouble shooting and fault-finding diagnostics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Continuous Improvement & lean experience
