Marketing Lead - UK & International

Job description

The Marketing Lead will lead the 3 year strategic marketing plan and the 1 year marketing activation plan for Nelsons brands in the UK and International Distributor Markets.

You will have a fantastic mix of fully owning the marketing activation plans in the UK, and partnering with the distributor teams to maximise growth in the export markets.

Key responsibilities

· Lead the consumer learning plan for the UK – identifying current consumer perceptions, triggers and barriers to growth, and how to recruit new consumers to the brands

· Lead the marketing activation planning and execution – how to build brand equity and brand awareness, and deliver efficient conversion to trial

· Partner effectively with peers in the wider marketing team (global brand strategy, product and innovation, digital, creative) to maximise the creative and commercial impact of marketing activation

· Partner with the UK Commercial team to launch innovation with flair and commercial impact

· Develop shopper marketing and brand education materials that drive conversion to trial

· Lead a team of 2 and an indirect team of marketers at our overseas distributors

· Budget management and return on investment optimisation: annual budget c. £2million

Requirements

• Previous experience marketing branded health or wellness products in the UK, with some exposure to international markets and effective adaptation
• Likely to have 7-10 years+ of marketing experience within business known for strong brand marketing
• Previous experience growing brands in major national retailers (e.g., Boots, Holland & Barrett, Tesco)
• Digitally savvy with credible experience of digital marketing activation and/or ecommerce
• A challenger fast-growth mindset
• Interest in the natural wellness category
