Job description
We have an exciting position available for a Project Coordinator to join a well-established, family-run SME based in Dartford. This is a brand-new role to the business and will allow you to develop and enhance your career within Project Management. Our client operates within the refurb, renovation, and refit industry for a niche market throughout London and surrounding areas.
As Project Coordinator you will report to the Project Manager and Service team to ensure projects are completed within budget and to a high standard to inspire recommendation.
Key duties and responsibilities...
- Project Estimating: Building up quotes following survey
- Project Drawings: Organising drawings with external CAD consultant, adding details using the CAD programme, ensuring the drawing has all details added prior to the job starting.
- Project Scheduling: Schedule the project ensuring the dates are achievable with all parties. – Customer, Suppliers, Sub-Contractors, Engineers
- Project Purchasing: Ordering Equipment, Materials, Cabinetry and confirming dates are workable.
- Project Coordination: Liaising with the customer on project details & keeping them in touch as needed through the project. Handing over the project on completion.
- Pipeline Management: survey, quoting, scheduling, managing installation, completion, and handover, manage Health and Safety compliance
- Project Finance: Ensuring progress payments and final payments are received on time.
- Project Marketing: Using Linked In to promote the company & network with clients. Preparing case studies for publishing. Website updates etc
- Project Lead Generation: council website searches, telemarketing & networking, project enquiry scoping.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Project coordinator role
- Ideally construction, refurb or engineering industry experience
- Excellent communication skills both written & verbal
- Good numerical skills · Commercial awareness
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Good IT & literacy skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Thrives under pressure working within deadlines
- Previous experience of working with AutoCAD with an understanding of technical drawings would be advantageous
