Job Title: Environmental Advisor

Compensation: £39,000 + Benefits

At Babcock we're working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Environmental Advisor at our our either Minley or Chatham sites.

The role

As a Environmental Advisor, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the organisation is able to deliver both compliance and best practice.

Day to day, you'll provide advice to our client and carry out audits and site inspections. Other responsibilities include:

• Managing Environmental Management System (EMS)
• Delivering internal audits
• Supporting external accreditation
• Reporting on carbon, water and waste and delivering to customer and recommending improvements
• Supporting Project Management team - advising future improvements
• Continuous improvements

This role is full time, with hybrid working options. The role is adaptable and can be based at either MOD Minley or MOD Chatham. You would be expected to work on site 2-3 times per week, with home working options the rest of the time.

Agile working may be available to employees in some instances, applying the principles of fairness and consistency whilst ensuring that the overriding business needs can be appropriately met. Essential experience of the Environmental Advisor

• Experience in an environmental related role
• Knowledge/experience in environmental auditing

Qualifications for the Environmental Advisor

• ISO14001 desirable
• Environmental degree or experience of support in construction, infrastructure, consultancy or associated industries

The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS security clearance for this role.
