Operations Director
Manufacturing Industry
Liverpool Region
GBP75,000 –GBP100,000 (Dependant on experience)
Monday – Friday (Hybrid), Flexible Hours
We are currently looking for a dynamic Operations Director to oversee the daily operations of a world–leading manufacturing business to ensure efficiency, productivity and profitability within the business. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will improve efficiency in the warehouse, shipping operation and oversee entire distribution sites.

The Candidate:
- Experience in the retail manufacturing sector and large wholesaler contacts.
- Experience in managing multiple international manufacturing sites in a senior operations role.
- International freight forwarding experience with stock items and multi–channel experience.
- Previous experience as Operations or Logistics Director within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong health and safety background, driving efficiencies.
- Natural leader, able to develop a high–performing team and motivate and inspire others.
- Able to generate new ideas, with a positive can–do attitude.
- You must have proven experience of delivering operational objectives in a previous business.
The Role:
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the organisations goals and objectives.
- Collaborating with Directors to establish strategic direction and long–term plans.
- Lead and develop a high–performing team within various operational departments including warehouse, shipping, and logistics.
- Process optimisation and efficiency improvements, implementing best practices and lean methodologies.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize operational disruptions.
- Provide insights into operational performance, key metrics and areas for improvement.
- You will be heavily involved in the Health & Safety compliance and regulations for the sites, develop mitigation strategies to minimize operational disruptions.
- Collaborate closely with Supply Chain Directors and other senior leaders to ensure alignment and coordination across the organisation.
