We are helping a collaborative company recruit a dedicated and talented Core Engine Programmer to join their inclusive and welcoming team. This full-time core engine role is remote within Europe and comes with an attractive salary and benefits package.
As a Core Engine Programmer, you will be working on research and development as well as defining, extending and maintaining processes for the company's in-house, next-generation engine with a focus on GPGPU, data-oriented design and machine learning.
To give you an idea of how this core engine programming role would look and feel, here are some things you could expect to do:
- Collaborate with peers to design software, identify problems and determine the best solutions by evaluating existing ones or implementing custom solutions
- Adopt a breadth-first development approach by designing for scalability without refactoring and implementing iterative development for flexible, straightforward design
- Develop with data-driven design as opposed to object-oriented
- Design software for scalability and produce platform-independent code
To apply for this Core Engine Programmer role, you will need extensive professional programming experience and advanced proficiency in C/C++. You will also require an understanding of software design and architecture skills (DOD, ECS). In addition, you should have the following skills and expertise:
- Highly motivated to work with new and emerging technologies
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills with a solid understanding of mathematics
- Experience integrating and adapting 3rd party technologies
- Expertise in developing for multiple platforms
