Structural Engineer

Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Structural Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and overseeing the construction of various structures. You will work closely with architects, construction managers, and other professionals to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and meet all safety and quality standards. The successful candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
Conduct structural analysis and design for various projects using engineering software and manual calculations.
Determine structural adequacy, efficiency, and safety of proposed designs through structural inspections and evaluations.
Prepare detailed engineering reports, drawings, and specifications.
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to coordinate and integrate structural components into overall project designs.
Ensure that structural designs meet all relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Supervise and inspect construction projects to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design plans.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and drafters.
Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with team members and clients.
Stay current with advancements in structural engineering and construction techniques through continuing education and professional development activities.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering.
Proficient in using structural analysis and design software, such as ETABS, SAP2000, and AutoCAD.
Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations, such as ASCE 7, ACI 318, and AISC 360.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with professionals from different disciplines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Experience in commercial, residential, or industrial construction projects is preferred.
Knowledge of sustainable design practices and LEED certification is a plus.
Strong organizational and time management skills.

Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:15
Pay Per Hour: £23.34
Location: North London, London
