As Production Leader you will be leading a team of production staff who understand the needs of the business and work together well as a team. The role offers a clean, tidy working environment for optimal productivity and lots of opportunity to progress and develop with your career.

What we need from you as a Production Leader:

You will need experience working in a similar leadership role, working within a production/manufacturing environment
Experience in processes and understand importance of SOPs and efficient practice
Knowledge and understanding of establishing and maintaining conventional, environmental and fire safety standards in an industrial environment
Proven experience of having led a successful team before
Great communicator and people focused

Desirable:

Lean manufacturing experience
What this role involves:

As Production Leader, you will coordinate and control production activities to ensure operating plans and standards are understood, delivered, maintained, and activities are coordinated to deliver business plan targets. Duties to include but are not limited to:

Leading a team and analysing the correct working structures
Identifying and introducing efficiencies for both machine and labour structure and use
Leading a team and establishing the most suitable structure and pay grades
Responsible for all performance management, personal development & team building
Contribute to the implementation of standards, procedures, and systems of work to maintain plant integrity
Complete compliance inspections and tests to procedure and plan
Identify and facilitate opportunities for improvements
Promote and ensure the health and safety of individuals, plant, and the environment to maintain high levels of personal safety, plant integrity and environmental compliance
Deputise for the MD and be accountable in his absence

Salary/hours: £40,000 per year. Working 8.00am - 4.00pm with half hour lunch (40 hours per week, with paid breaks). The role offers some flexibility on start and finish times.
