Job description
Mane Energy are currently working with a leading Service provider to the renewables sector specialising in both on and offshore wind.
They are currently looking for multiple Major Component Technicians for permanent opportunities across Scotland.
Locations: Inverness, Campbeltown, Dumfries, Thurso
Regular travel would be required throughout Scotland.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Replacement of turbine major components e.g. generators and gearboxes
* Up tower repair projects
* Supporting on all Engineering Projects
* Support of troubleshooting and service when not carrying out major component replacements.
* Lead a team of technicians ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed at all times
* Troubleshoot on mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
* Assist in all areas of site operations - including servicing when not on major components
* Ensure that all relevant tooling and equipment is certified and ready for use
* Comply with customer site rules
* Report all incidents and occurrences as per company's Health and Safety policy
* Partake in rota for on call cover on weekends and bank holidays
* Communicate effectively to clients and all levels of the business
* Must be willing to travel regularly
Qualifications:
* Relevant formal qualifications minimum SVQ/ NVQ level 3 (electrical, mechanical etc) and/or comprehensive experience in a relevant industry
* Ideally three years of hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical experience in an industrial environment e.g. wind farms, power stations, industrial process plant or similar heavy engineering maintenance environments
* Valid driving licence
You would be required to pass a pre-employment medical and fitness test before a formal offer of employment can be confirmed.
