Job Title: Intermediate Estimator
Location: Hornchurch, Essex / East London
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 (dependent on experience)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Intermediate Estimator to join a thriving interiors and dry lining subcontractor based in Hornchurch, Essex. Our client, a successful player in the industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to contribute to their continued growth. This role provides a chance to work on a diverse range of projects spanning residential, commercial, leisure, R&D, education, and healthcare sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough cost estimates for interiors and dry lining projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
- Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documents to determine project requirements.
- Prepare detailed take-offs and material quantities.
- Research and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes.
- Provide support in preparing and submitting tender documents.
Requirements:
- Multiple years of experience as an Estimator within the construction industry.
- Proven experience in estimating for dry lining projects.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Qualifications:
- Preferred but not essential: Relevant qualification in a construction related field.
