Part time Teacher of Computer Science .6
Required for September 2024 a knowledgeable and skilled teacher of Computer Science. The successful candidate will be an outstanding practitioner or have the potential to be so with the ability to inspire young people in the study of Computing.
Our department has two designated IT suites that have both recently benefited from infrastructure upgrades, including new computers, new 75” screens and air-con. We are a well-staffed department, with four subject specialists working within it. At KS3, students receive an hour per week of Computing, starting from year 7. At GCSE, we deliver the OCR specification, with healthy participation numbers. Our most recent GCSE results far exceeded national average. We have recently developed our offer as a department by introducing A Level Computer Science, of which participation numbers are also healthy.
From year 7 onwards, the curriculum is established and fully resourced.

The school is conveniently located close to Shenfield mainline station on the line into London Liverpool Street and home to the eastern terminus of the new cross rail Elizabeth Line. The school’s location attracts outer fringe London allowance.
